I am, in no particular order, a queer (lesbian), 44, DINK (dual-income, no kids), with liberal/progressive political leanings, I am inconsistent and irreverant, a foodie, an occasional over-indulger in alcohol, I’m animal-loving, a voracious reader, news junkie and artist-wannabe, a small-town resident & organic gardener… just to name a few of the things that will inform this blog. Oh, and I’m feeling really ambivalent about blogging. Still really in the “why would anyone want to hear what I have to say mode.” So my posts are probably going to be be really serious and over-editted until I loosen up.

It gets easier, but each post is a little nerve-racking right before hitting “publish”. Scheduling a post to be published later makes it a little easier.

I just called Sen. Joe Simitian’s office and learned that he is/was opposed to Prop 8.
You will probably hear from his office as well.

I couldn’t find a statement readily; I can appreciate why you might not have included him. He has been a supporter of legislation in the past, I believe.

well, keep bloggin. I really enjoyed the way you unloaded on James Dobson. didnt hear anything about that from where we are (Afghanistan), but man, he is a loony.
